Between college applications, football games, graduation plans, and trying to enjoy the moment, it’s easy for senior portraits to slide to the bottom of your list.

But your senior session isn’t just about taking pictures. It’s about celebrating who you are right now and preserving this season before everything changes.

If you’re wondering what’s included in a senior photo session, this post walks you through what happens from the time you inquire until you receive your finished images.

Step One: Booking and Planning

Once you inquire, I’ll send you everything you need to know, including available dates, what to expect, and information about my senior portrait collections.

After you’re officially booked, we’ll plan your session together. We’ll talk about your personality, interests, outfits, location ideas, and what you want your pictures to feel like. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we talk. Part of my job is helping you bring all those ideas together.

Step Two: Preparing for Your Senior Portraits

Once you’re booked, I’ll help you prepare so you know exactly what to expect before your session.

You’ll receive:

• A complete preparation guide with tips for skin, nails, what to bring, and getting camera-ready
• Outfit guidance to help you choose clothing that reflects your personality and photographs beautifully
• Help selecting locations that fit the style and vision you have for your pictures
• The option to text me photos of your outfits when you need help narrowing down your choices

Step Three: Your Senior Photo Session

Here’s the fun part.

I’ll guide you every step of the way, from easy posing to capturing those candid in-between moments, so you never feel awkward or “too posed.”

You’ll laugh, you’ll feel like a model, and you’ll probably forget we’re even “posing” by the end of it.

Parents, you’re welcome to join us for the day or give your senior space to enjoy their time in front of the camera.

Step Four: Receiving Your Senior Pictures

Within 24 to 48 hours after your session, I’ll share a few sneak peeks so you don’t have to wait long to see some of my favorites.

When your gallery is ready, you’ll receive all the best images from your session, fully edited and delivered through a private online gallery. You won’t have to narrow them down or choose which photographs you want to keep. I carefully select and edit the strongest images that tell the complete story of your session.

You’ll also have the option to order professional prints, wall art, albums, and keepsakes directly through your gallery.
