Addie Had The Most Amazing Dreamy, Whimsical Senior Session! Short, but SO GOOD!

There are some sessions that remind me exactly why I do what I do. This whimsical senior session in Winter Park, Florida, was one of those unforgettable moments—a perfect blend of creativity, personality, and unexpected magic. Winter Park is one of my favorite locations for senior pictures in Orlando because it offers so many different settings for creating something personal.

Set in a hidden little park tucked inside a quiet Winter Park neighborhood, this session was filled with soft golden light, dreamy vibe, and a senior who had a clear vision: something nature-inspired, whimsical, and completely different from the typical cookie-cutter senior photos.

A Session Designed Around Her Story

Adalee, one of my seniors from Winter Park High School, told me how much she loves reading and spending time in nature. I knew we had the perfect setting. She brought a few books as props, chose an outfit that felt like her, and we leaned into the natural light and soft textures of the environment. Running Against the Rain, Literally

Here’s the wildest part: this entire session lasted just 15 minutes.

As we began shooting, the sky quickly darkened and we heard a lot of thunder that didn’t seem too far away from us. A torrential downpour was definitely brewing, and we knew we had only a few minutes to capture what we could. We moved fast, adjusted poses quickly, and made every second count. By the end, we were literally running to our cars to escape the rain.

And yet… these are some of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken.

Since we only had 15 minutes to shoot before it starting storming, we will be finishing her senior session very soon – and I can’t wait to create even more magic with her.

Creating Something Unique, Together

One of the things I love most about my senior photography experience is collaborating with seniors and their parents to bring their ideas to life. This session was a perfect example. She had a vision, and together, we made it happen—even in record time!

When she saw a few sneak peeks on the back of my camera, her response was everything:

“Oh my goshhhhh I’m gonna cry! They’re so pretty!”
